Civinity Engineering, a subsidiary of Civinity – one of the largest building maintenance, engineering and technology solutions groups in the Baltic States – has won a contract in the United Kingdom. The company will design and install building engineering systems in residential buildings developed by real estate developer Vastint UK in East London, within the Sugar House Island quarter. The project is planned to be delivered over the next three years.

During the third and fourth phases of the Sugar House Island residential development, Civinity Engineering will install the core building services required for apartment buildings: heating and heat generation solutions, ventilation, water supply and drainage, as well as electrical, low-voltage and automation systems. The solutions have already been designed in a digital 3D environment, and work on site has already commenced.

“Projects like this in London are a clear signal that engineering competence from Lithuania and the Baltic States can compete in the most demanding European markets. This is important not only for our group – it strengthens the reputation of the entire region and shows that we can export high value-added services,” says Civinity founder and shareholder Deividas Jacka.

According to him, the new contract is the result of long-term cooperation with Vastint – this is already the sixth joint project.

Jacka adds that although Civinity identifies Lithuania, Latvia and the United Kingdom as its core markets, the Group does not limit itself to these countries and designs and installs engineering systems wherever its clients develop projects.

“Over more than 20 years of operations, we have delivered hundreds of projects in various European cities – from our core markets in Lithuania, Latvia and the United Kingdom to Denmark, Poland and other countries. Our ‘follow the client’ strategy is what enables us to grow rapidly and build strong, long-term partnerships, such as our cooperation with Vastint,” says Jacka.

Civinity Engineering entered the UK market in 2021, when it designed and installed engineering systems in the commercial buildings at Sugar House Island. Following the successful completion of that phase, the company has now been entrusted with a new project – the design and installation of engineering systems for residential buildings being constructed in the further development of the district.

Sugar House Island is a mixed-use district in Stratford, East London. By the end of the project, the 10.5-hectare area is expected to include 1,200 apartments, 61,500 sq m of office and retail space, a new school, and 1.2 hectares of public outdoor areas. More than 600 residents already live in the quarter, and it currently includes offices, a two-form-entry primary school and the Talent House urban culture centre.

Civinity is a group that brings together businesses providing building maintenance services and developing engineering and technology solutions in the Baltic States and the United Kingdom. The Group comprises more than 30 companies and employs over 1,600 people. In 2024, Civinity’s revenue amounted to EUR 88.5 million and pro forma EBITDA reached EUR 7.4 million.
