Radiator stripping

Please be informed that the heating is connected in all apartment blocks under our management. We are receiving an increase in the number of calls from you about radiators that are not heating up, so not all calls can be answered immediately by our customer service team.

The first step to take when radiators are not warming up is to bleed them. This should be done by the occupants of the upper floor flats. If the radiators are not drained, the heat does not reach all the flats in the stairwell.

Turning down radiators is easy, just follow these steps:

  1. Turn on the heating. Turn on the heating in the radiators, they should be fully warm.
  2. Turn the heating off. This is an extremely important step: if the heating is not turned off and the radiators are being drained, the radiators will leak a lot of water.
  3. Prepare the mops. Some water will come out of the radiator when you’re draining, so we recommend you prepare towels to absorb the water.
  4. Open the drain valve. You will find a valve on the side of the radiator. Depending on the model, insert the radiator key into the valve or insert a screwdriver into the special groove.
  5. Release the air. Turn the valve anti-clockwise. Half a turn is sufficient, do not open the valve fully. Be careful as the air coming out of the radiator may be hot. You will hear a whistling sound as the air starts to escape. When the radiator is drained, water will start dripping. Then quickly turn the valve clockwise.
  6. Switch on the heating.

If the radiators on the upper floors have been drained but the heating still does not reach your apartment, please inform your building manager who will provide you with all the necessary information. Please find the contact details of the managers below.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We are working hard to make sure that you can enjoy the warmth in your home as soon as possible – our team will continue working over the weekend.
